Hinamatsuri-Japanese Dolls Festiva or Girls Dayl

March 3 is Hinamatsuri-Japanese Dolls Festiva or Girls Dayl. It is a seasonal festival to pray for the healthy growth of girls. For families with girls, they can have decorations in their house, of dolls, flowers and peaches, white sake, Hishimochi, in sweet pink and white pastel colors which are girls' favourites.

２月３日は節分

今日は節分 。大きな声を張り上げて、(鬼は、外! 福は、内・家!)

節分（せつぶん、または、せちぶん）は、各季節の始まりの日（立春・立夏・立秋・立冬）の前日のこと。節分とは「季節を分ける」ことをも意味している。江戸時代以降は特に立春（毎年2月4日ごろ）の前日を指す場合が多い。この場合、節切月日の大晦日にあたる。本項目では、立春の前日の節分、およびその日に行われる伝統的な行事について述べる。

一般的には「福は内、鬼は外」と声を出しながら福豆（炒り大豆）を撒いて、年齢の数だけ（もしくは一つ多く）豆を食べる厄除けを行う。また、イワシの頭をさした柊などで邪気除けを行う場合も多い。これらは、地方や神社などによって異なってくる。
